Yi-Mei Truxes created Bembien after spotting a woman on the streets of New York with an essence about her as if she had just stepped out of 1970s coastal France. “We caught a glimpse of her crossing a cobblestoned street and on her shoulder swung a perfect, woven basket bag” - and Bembien was born. Through the craftsmanship of artisans from around the globe, Bembien is a collection of stunning woven bags and accessories perfect for sunny seaside days away or summers spent in the city.
